The Wedding Officer has just been published in the USA in paperback, so if you're visiting this site from the US, welcome. I'm based in the UK but I come over occasionally to do publicity, readings etc, so it's worth checking back from time to time.
Do explore this site.... There's a message board where you can leave a message for me, or just post a recipe or book suggestion you want to share with other readers. There's some stuff about my historical sources, and a few bits and pieces that book groups might find interesting. You can also send an excerpt to a friend (which enters you into a prize draw as well). And if you want to contact me via the email link, do - I can't promise to reply, particularly if I'm writing, but I do read all my emails eventually.
You'll also find links to some of my Sunday Times articles about Italy and food (including restaurant recommendations for Venice and Naples) and to the website for The Food of Love, my first book.
My third book, The Various Flavours of Coffee, comes out in November (September for US readers). It's the story of a young man who gets involved in the coffee trade in London in the late 1890's and 1900's - the fin de siecle: a period I've always wanted to write about, although needless to say his attempts at carefree bohemianism don't always run according to plan......
Have fun,
Anthony
